Great Close-up Illusion
This has been getting a bad rap, but I feel it is everything that it was promised to me. You need to understand that this is a full blown ILLUSION being performed close-up. That means it is subject to all the limitations of lighting and angles that many stage illusions are. There is great joy in simply practicing it, which you will need a fair amount of time put in to get this smooth. There is a lot going on, but you are in complete control of all the vanishes and reappearances. It is definitely great for any video work and could be done live if you can control the conditions. It is a very beautiful prop and the effect is visually stunning. This is something that could not be done with sleight of hand and should only be used for special occasions anyway. My only complaint is with the instructions. They are fairly thorough, but leave out some details. Nothing major, but it does involve buying a few extra, though inexpensive, supplies. Also this is not the EXACT routine that Will Tsai did on AGT. HOWEVER, an audience would not know that. All of the effects appear the same and look great. This is Will's initial version. He does explain how to do it EXACTLY like the TV act, which will require a few extra things as well. That does not bother me. I am going to do it like it is. I'm hoping do do a performance for my family at Christmas and test this thing out!
