Paul Gertner's Steel and Silver by Richard Kaufman

Product Description

Why would the man who won first place at FISM, who won first place at the $20,000 Las Vegas Desert Seminar Sleight-of-Hand Challenge, who won first place at the SAM Close Up Competition, who has appeared on Fool Us five times (fooling Penn & Teller twice), That's Incredible twice, and the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson three times - why would that man explain all of the astounding miracles he has created over a lifetime of professional performing?

It doesn't make sense, and yet, he's done it.

Written by one of magic's most prolific authors, Richard Kaufman, and with a foreword by television legend Johnny Carson and Introduction by David Williamson, this will soon become one of your most treasured books. This new edition also includes a new and insightful essay by Gertner, looking back at the book and his work on the material therein some thirty years after its initial publication. This essay not only provides a seasoned perspective on the material that makes up Steel and Silver, but is complemented by new insights into how the market for magic has changed, and how Gertner has adapted, updated, and refined his close-up miracles. He even provides ideas on how to create new effects, and professional advice on how to stage a close-up show.
