Product Description
There are plenty of books that explain how magic works. There are fewer that concern themselves with what magic is.
WZRD belongs to the latter.
If we had to summarize it in one word, WZRD is a book about mystery - not as a problem to be solved, but as something to be handled with care.
If we could use more words, then we'd say that it's a book about secrets, silence, satire, and sorcery. About birds and bards and books and breath. There are tricks in these pages, for sure - but confusing method with meaning is the oldest form of misdirection.
As magicians and mentalists, we learn techniques.
We learn structure.
We learn how to control outcomes.
And at some point, that stops being enough.
This book is not an exploration of the mechanics of deception, but of what surrounds them: the pause, the weight of the unspoken, the tension between showing and withholding, the ethics of secrecy, the opening of closed hands. It does not offer systems or formulas. It is not interested in tricks that kill, but in the ones that resurrect.
Through essays, fragments, visual compositions, personal reflections, and practical ideas drawn from real-world interactions, WZRD explores what happens between gestures - where meaning is felt rather than explained.
Some pages read like field notes.
Others like rituals, confessions, or marginalia.
Some offer concrete techniques.
Others offer nothing but a question, and the space to sit with it.
WZRD is meant to be approached slowly.
It resists linear reading.
It invites wandering.
It rewards attention.
This is a book you open, close, and return to-not to extract information, but to recalibrate how you look at your work, your audience, and the role you choose to inhabit when you step into mystery.
Conceived as a book-object, WZRD is as much to be seen as it is to be read. Photography, typography, quotations and text are woven together into an immersive, contemplative experience - closer to an art publication than an instruction manual.
